These rules keep cheater.net useful and safe for everyone. They apply to everything you post: mods, releases, screenshots, comments, votes, reports and your profile. Breaking them can get your content removed, your posting limits reduced, or your account closed, depending on how serious it is. They are part of our Terms of Use.

Publishing mods

  • No malware. No stealers, miners, RATs, droppers, hidden payloads or anything that does more than it says. This is the one rule with no second chances: the account is closed.
  • Post your own work, or credit it. Reuploading someone else’s mod as your own is not allowed. If you share another developer’s work, name them and link to the original, and remove it if they ask.
  • Describe it honestly. Say what the mod does, which game and version it is for, and anything the user needs to know, such as whether it needs to be run as administrator or an antivirus exception. Screenshots must show the actual mod.
  • Working links only. Downloads must lead to the file, either directly or through one of the authorized ad-link services: Linkvertise, Lootlabs or work.ink. No other pay-per-click shorteners, no chains of more than one ad link, no survey walls, and no “download our launcher first (unless we authorized)”.
  • No selling. Unless we authorized: Do not post paid products, keys or subscriptions, and do not advertise them in descriptions or comments. Just contact us if you want to advertise.
  • Keep it up to date. If a mod stops working or becomes detected, say so in a new release or in the description.

Comments

  • Be civil. Criticise the mod, not the person. No harassment, threats, slurs or hate aimed at anyone’s identity.
  • No spam, repeated posts, referral links or advertising.
  • Keep it on topic: help, feedback, bug reports and detection news for that mod.
  • Do not post anyone’s personal information.

Ban reports

  • Report what actually happened to you: that you used the mod without being banned, or that you were banned while using it.
  • Do not report on mods you have not used, and do not use ban reports to boost your own mod or bury someone else’s.
    Remember: Ban reports will never be accurate. They are always have a chance of getting an account ban on online games.

Reports

  • Use the Report option for broken downloads, stolen work, malware and rule-breaking content.
  • Do not file false or spam reports. For copyright claims, see the Copyright / DMCA policy.

Accounts and profiles

  • One account per person. Alternate accounts used to vote, get around a ban or dodge limits will be closed along with the main one.
  • No impersonating other developers, members or staff.
  • Usernames, display names, profile pictures and links must follow the same rules as comments. No explicit or shocking images.

Things we never allow

  • Anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors, which is reported to the authorities.
  • Tools built to steal accounts, cards or personal data, or to attack other players’ devices or networks.
  • Attacking, scraping in bulk or trying to break into this site.

Moderation

Moderators decide how to apply these rules, including in situations they do not spell out. If you think a decision was wrong, email [email protected] with the link and your reasons, and do not open a new account to get around it.
